Sydney Sweeney Shuts Down Body Shaming Comments With Powerful Gym Response

Sydney Sweeney has given the perfect response to the cruel body shaming comments she’s recently faced online.

Social media, as we all know, can sometimes become a toxic environment, especially for public figures who constantly find themselves in the spotlight.

Over time, we’ve seen several celebrities step back from their online platforms because of this negativity.

For the Euphoria star, the negativity reached a peak recently as body shaming trolls started targeting her appearance.

But instead of staying silent, Sweeney decided to respond in the most empowering way possible, using Instagram to make her point loud and clear.

In her video, Sweeney started by showing a series of harsh comments people had made about her body online.

These included words like ‘quite frumpy,’ ‘very chunky,’ and even ‘tubby’—comments that no one should ever have to endure.

After these hurtful messages flashed on the screen, the video shifted to show Sweeney in her training gear, hard at work in the gym.

She was seen pushing herself through an intense workout, hitting a punching bag, and flipping a massive tire, all under the guidance of her trainer.

The video also featured a motivational sign that read, ‘Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.’

It served as a reminder that dedication and perseverance always win out over negativity.

Fans quickly flooded the comment section of the video, praising Sweeney for how she handled the situation with strength and grace.

One supporter wrote: “I will never understand the hate in people’s hearts when it comes to leaving comments like this,”

Another chimed in, saying: “Ngl why do people feel entitled to talk about someone’s body specially someone you don’t personally know.”

A third added: “No one has the right or reason to make comments on anyones body, ever.”

Among the messages of support was a comment from actress Lili Reinhart, who shared her admiration by writing:

“It’s always wild to see people publicly out themselves as pieces of shit with comments like that. You look incredible and your dedication to your project is very inspiring.”

At the end of the video, Sweeney revealed the name ‘Christy Martin,’ a nod to her upcoming role in a biopic where she portrays the legendary female boxer.

For those unfamiliar, Christy Martin is a former professional boxer who made waves in the sport, earning the WBC female super welterweight title back in 2009.

Her story has become an inspiration for many, making her a fitting role for Sweeney to take on.

In the past, Sweeney has opened up about how much she invests in bringing her movie roles to life.

During an interview with The Los Angeles Times in March, she described herself as someone who likes to play an active role in her projects.

She shared: “I like being able to give ideas, be a part of it, help come up with solutions. It just changes the whole process,”

Elaborating further, she added: “It’s so hard for me now to be on a set and not be able to help in any type of way and be able to take action.

“And being able to actually have a voice and have a valued opinion—it means so much.”
